  1. I was struggling with OCD which included also scrupulosity. The healing took some time, but it did happen! Obsessions and compulsion are symptoms of suppressed emotions, PLEASE read something written by catholic psychiatrist Conrad Baars – his texts explained me what I was fighting with and also how to really heal it (you can google information about him and his work or order e.g. his book Healing and Feeling Your Emotions from Amazon). God bless you!

  2. I am so struggling I feel to just give up on sacrament of confession i am just doing it all wrong I can’t get past this. I think I am abusing the sacrament of penance.

    • You have to just try your best and move on. My podcast offers some advice for confession. As well, the Scrupulous Anonymous Newsletter by Fr. Tom Santa should help with this.

  3. I felt bad confessing the same things over again. That became a motivator for me and through Gtace I don’t need to confess that / those sins anymore.

  4. Fr Russell Abata’s books on scrupulosity are a tremendous help and should be read by all who suffer this difficult issue

  5. Another small yet helpful resource is an EWTN Sunday Night Prime episode where Fr. Andrew Apostoli talks about the different types of conscience a person can have, and then deals in depth with the topic of those with a scrupulous conscience.
